The Fate book is the adventure series produced by author Peter Van Minnen.
Peter Van Minnen the author of the Fate book, has been writing most of his life, but started as an architect, and fell into acting about the same time. Having a feeling for acting and poetry, writing came out of his acting and developing characters.
As Peter described during our interview, the information began to flow forward from mind to paper. The Fate book started as a literary project for adults but quickly morphed into a work for young adults. Some time was required to find his authors voice before he could begin writing the Fate book series.
The characters are a couple of archeologist with several teen characters. The book is in the vein of Indiana Jones or Laura Croft for a quick reference.
Taken from his Amazon overview:
If you like fantasy this is certainly the book for you!
Join the intrepid and eccentric explorers, Professors Clarence and Wadji, who will take you on a nail-biting journey through a number of ancient sacred sites around the world, using the mysterious Fate Book to guide them.
Professors Clarence and Wadji are joined by Professor Clarence’s niece and nephew Jess and Josh, who has intuitive abilities to rival the Fate Book’s.
The Fate Book: The Emperor’s Tomb will take you on a roller coaster ride, from Egypt to Peru, then on to Guatemala and the Himalayas, and finally to the Emperor’s Tomb in China, where the professors face one of their most perilous challenges ever.
This is a blockbuster of a book which doesn’t finish at the end.
During the interview with Peter.
we covered a great deal of the creative and business process, character development and business of producing a book. One of the surprising points made was regarding the cover art. The writer is not always the controller of the artwork, specifically if pick up by a publishing house.
