 Uzoma Obidike’s Mission

Uzoma Florence Obidike is a Certified Career Advisor and founder of She Leads Beautifully. She discovered through this platform, she helps professional women overcome mid-career stagnation by teaching them how to leverage the power of personal branding and networking to finally reach the next level in their careers. For more than a decade, Uzoma has also held various student affairs and leadership positions at institutions of higher education. She is currently an adjunct faculty member for Ivy Tech Community College Lake County.

Uzoma’s Works

Uzoma is a contributing author of the book No Ways Tired: The Journey for Professionals of Color in Student Affairs. She has graced local and national stages where she has led talks on leadership and career development. Uzoma is also a charter member, and the Vice President of Public Relations, for the Hammond Business Speakers Club of Toastmasters International. She was 2019 Up and Coming Woman in Education for the Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Awards.

Uzoma’s Education

Uzoma attended Indiana University Bloomington where she attained both a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Leadership program at Indiana State University.

Uzoma is a Nigerian American who comes from a long line of Educated family members who developed the hustle mindset. She selected a different path from her parents and siblings.
