Well it’s January in Michigan, that means slow production times for manufacturing and cold weather. It is also the time honored tradition know as the Detroit  International Auto Show, a January staple in Detroit.

Upon entering the Detroit Auto show you can’t help but get excited about the many displays of vehicle information and transportation technology. There was one problem my daughter and I noticed, we could not find a map, legend or layout of the vendors and displays and cars.

Ford motor company had the largest display of all the vendors, to which I remarked to my daughter, “Ford Motor company is the only privately owned traditional American car company here at the show.”

Although Detroit is know for it’s muscle cars, of which there was a very good showing, one could not help noticing the presence of electric vehicles from companies that may not be in the forefront of the marketing campaign in America.

Size is the noticeable difference in this years auto show versus Auto shows of the past. Nissan was not present, which upset my daughter because of her love for Nissan’s “Z” series of sports car. One thing is for sure, I would have loved to get a feel for the Nissan 370z and the GT-R. (These two are cars that rank high when I play Need for Speed video game.)

It’s wasn’t until I returned home and heard news reports about the display located in Cobo hall’s basement that I found out about exhibits I missed. This particular point goes back to the lack of direction for the guest attending the Auto Show.

I am a little upset with myself because I snapped a great picture of the Audi TTS but was so excited I did not save the picture to my phone.  However I did save the picture of SEX ON WHEELS the RS8. When I grow up that will be the car for me.

The were the usual showing of upscale automobiles Maybach, Bentley, Ferrari, but I did not see  Porsche.  Some of the displays from the typical players were so small and nudged together that it would be easy to miss those vendors without large displays.  There was the Mercedes AMG gull-wing that I though was impressive.

The presentation was what kept the Detroit Auto show  on the International level, good for a Saturday outing.

Today was a Good day for Emmitt Muckles & Crispy Chuckles.

We are so use to being on the go, at least I know that I am. Recently with the holidays and winter on the horizon my scheduled has opened up.  Instead of just chillin and enjoying the pace another anomaly has occurred.

I always have to be physically busy. Fingers on a keyboard, writing music, scoping out the next house hold project.  I just want my mind to settle, but my physical disposition is like a shark.  Not in the sense of devouring everything in site, but with regards that sharks must be in perpetual motion or they suffocate from lack of oxygen.  There it is my dilemma. Gotta keep moving, it’s an American condition. Work, Work, Play Work some more so you can play.

I feel weak when too far away from and internet connection or WIFI hot spot.  My mind races with ideas and information, Google it Bing it .

Simple question, What did we do before the internet 2.0?

The Journey of One Podcast (Tyler Durden Emerges)

I had to DJ a wedding Saturday night. Guess what? I could not sleep to save my being not matter how I tried. Really strange and random though began to plague my psyche. That went I identified the issue. My Tyler Durden was emerging. No a good place to be. There is one fact that keeps me straight. I AM IN CONTROL OF ME!
Finally at 7am I fell asleep.
When your mind is racing in the middle of the night, meditate your way out of it. Quiet yourself to the point where you can count the beats of your heart.

I resisted for as long as possible. It’s too expensive, I really don’t need one, I don’t want to be like everyone else. These were my excuses, until my trusted friend the Palm TX just lost it’s relevance. It’s in the podcast listen and I will tell you more.

Strange day no matter what you do!

Today was one of those days that makes you tilt your head to the side and stare, like when a human makes whimpering sound to a dog. The truth is no matter how strange life seems, or come what may in the particular fashion of life, it is always your reaction that dictates the future. Sometimes it is the act of living through odd situations that provide the best lessons in the long run.
