This was a strange week. Our choices dictate our experience. I have heard that we are ultimately the sum total of the choices we have made. If this is true, then make choices not to win the battle but to win the war.

    Something you said on today’s episode really stuck with me. You mentioned that you were looking through the job listings and found that most places wanted a person with a Bachelors Degree in a tiny little niche field. So true! I was recently unemployed, (and have, luckily, found a part time job), and have been looking through the job listings. Nobody wants to hire people and actually train them anymore.

    I noticed that jobs for day care teachers, something I spent years doing when I was in college, now want all their teachers to have a Bachelors Degree in Early Child Care. It will cost more to get that degree than a person will ever make as a teacher at a Day Care center. The world has gone crazy.

    Great show today! I like shows that make me think about things.

    I just realized that I left the above comment for the wrong episode. Anyway, 40 pages for a job application? Casinos are insane.
