Living Uninhibited!

Posted in Uncategorized by Emmitt Muckles on the August 25th, 2009

Unlimited power

When I was a young boy, one of my favorite past times was to play with my 10 inch tall G.I. Joe. My Childhood imagination was so free and uninhibited that I could accept that a simple boys doll could interact in my world with me for hours at a time. Then there are the moments I catch myself asking how did I loose that ability to be so free in my thoughts and imagination. I use to marvel and the simplest things
The answer to that question is very simple. I was bombarded with rules and specific principles of life and responsibility from adults. I truly miss that particular child like imagination that we all once had. This is  time when we did not question the existence of the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.

I have a large bubble making machine. My neighbors children know that I have it too. They constantly ask when I will bring out the bubble machine. After about a week of asking about the bubble machine when they saw me out side, I relented and set it up in my front yard. I turned the machine on for children then proceeded to weed my front garden. I watched as those children chased bubbles for more than an hour. They were so happy. I was in awe that something so simple could bring so much joy.
I remember a Looney Toons cartoon with the Road Runner and Wiley Coyote, where the road runner defied gravity, by running off a cliff onto thin air to an adjacent cliff. Mr. Wiley Coyote could not understand how this could happen until the road runner held up a sign stating, “I know this defies gravity, but i never studied law”.

If we could have made it to maturity without loosing our imaginative abilities the possibilities would be endless for humanity.

Not to Fret! We still have the ability to reach our plateaus and reach for that divine quality. All we have to do is shake the confine that bind us. I started on the quest with:

  1. Limiting the negative influences through selective television (4 hours per week)
  2. Reading more books (Library card, and getting over due notices)
  3. Selecting Podcast to listen to in my car. (Podcast of interviews and learning programs)
  4. Saying Thank You to my Creator (For every little thing,Constantly)
  5. Simplifying my existence.
  6. Exercising 3x per week for 45 minutes.
  7. Paying off and leaving credit cards in the past.

Looking at the past, I see that I was programmed by life to play the “keeping up with the Jones’ ” game. That is just not healthy, it saps your ability to live life and imagine the future.

Think back to when you were 9 years old. You said ” when I grow up I want to be______.”

It’s not to late to enjoy that passion. So shead your baggage, redirect your imagination compass and follow that passion.

The Law of Attraction and the Unemployed.

THE Law OF Attraction.

Now is the perfect time to implement the Law of attraction. I heard a statistic stating that 80% of the people being laid off or downsized are men. 80% people, that is very significant. This changes not only the scope of the American dynamic but the psyche of the family and communities.

Now is the time to focus on the life that you want. I am not talking about things such as cars, big houses, boats and excess but the stuff that truly matters which is lifestyle, getting down to the basics. How do you envision you life. What are the memories that will constitute your life. That job that you had and was so loyal to,zapping 40+ hours a week. Where did it get you except stuff and debt? Let’s be real most people did not like the job they were working anyway.

Ask yourself what is it that can sustain your basic living standard and you could do all day and love it. That is the question you must answer. It is time to get back to the basics of living. You need good food, shelter, love, clothing and protection, everything else is bonus material. 50 inch flat screen, 2000 channels of cable, obesity, hypertension, an on and on.

It is amazing to me, if you ask someone the simple question of what do you want for your life, very few can be picture specific.

Here is what I want.

  • Have a happy healthy home and family
  • Be as health and abundant mentally physically and spiritually as possible.
  • Touch the lives of others through sharing and communing. (Write and speak)
  • Have all the resources I need to follow my interest. (which change with new discoveries)
  • Be respected and loved.

Now Use the law of attraction to live your life. Once you know what it is that you want then you must act to fulfill that destiny. The book of life is written by you, the last chapter is never in sight, as a matter of face we never see our own last chapter.

My podcast. Escape from Mediocrity!

Posted in Uncategorized by Emmitt Muckles on the April 23rd, 2009

Mediocrity is sin
We live in a society of Mediocrity. Everything presented to us is about the external appearance, it is detrimentally programming our psyche.  This is simple not valid to us as Spiritual being in a physical world. It is our destiny to live to the fullest of our potential. Television and media play a grand part in our perpetual distraction of self.

In my podcast I address topics of self improvement and living life to the fullest.

The power of a Smile!

Posted in Uncategorized by Emmitt Muckles on the April 9th, 2009

Photo By Patrick ShawToday was a very good day. No, I did not will the lottery, nor did I have a great epiphany. I just decided to be grateful and smile a genuine smile.

Once I started smiling, a statement came to fruition, the whole world began to smile back at me. I noticed the smiles returned to me from the man and woman at the gas station, then lady in the bank, the people at my toastmasters meeting, and the guy on the other side of the mirror.

It was the Law of reciprocity. When you begin to feel as good as I feel today, only good thing can come to you in spades.

I even did a podcast at http://emmittmuckles.com/podcast.

Remember when you feel mediocre, think of all the things you have to give thanks. Example, today you actually opened your eyes and greeted a new day, which means you have another chance to start new, or continue something better. Once that smile spreads through your core. Reap the reward.

Unleashing the leader within!

Posted in Uncategorized by Emmitt Muckles on the April 6th, 2009

What is a leader?Ian Parker
A leader is someone who accepts responsibility for a situation, and chooses to accept any outcome derived from their actions, period. A leader claims ownership and responsibility.
Many of us fail to ascend higher or assume leadership roles because we don’t want to accept all possible scenarios of our involvement as a leader.

Leaders obtain great rewards for successful ventures. Conversely all the blame for a failed venture falls squarely on a leader. This is most evident on the television show of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” .

It is a leaders job to find the soft spot and make the necessary adjustment for the desired outcome. True leaders have little room for ego. Their objective is the finish line.
Many find it hard to be a leader in their own life because the have no direction a.k.a no goals.  If you don’t have a goal then how do you know where the finish line resides? How is it possible to lead yourself or anyone else when there is an absence of the clearly definable path. As a leader the objective is to see where you and your team need to finish the “GOAL LINE”.

To get to the goal line one must inventory the resources currently available, and acquire the resources needed to successfully reach your objective. Once the resources have been obtained, the it’s time to begin the process of managing and applying resources to start the journey towards the goal line.

Good leaders also know that it is not simply about getting to the goal line but understanding the journey along the way. The journey is where true wisdom is acquired.
In your personal leadership quest there are question to help your venture, which most people never ask.  Where is my destination? Who do “I” want to be? Where do “I” want to go? Are you living your existence based on someone’s reality other than your own, in turn being a follower, as opposed to being a leader. The position of leader is uncomfortable to most. Leaders have to have foresight as to what is next and what is required. What is next in your life, and what is required.

Detroit RIP 2009 unless the cancer is removed!

Posted in Uncategorized by Emmitt Muckles on the March 20th, 2009
Now What?

Now What?

At what point does a person just give up a say, ”I am not the most qualified person for this task.”  That is is what Detroit’s city council should be saying.

I had a job where I assumed a position that was not the right fit for me. Since it was not a good fit, I had to abdicate the position, of my own free will.  That sucked because it paid extremely well, but we survive.

I remember the Shreik name calling incident during a city council meeting several months ago.  That was the defining moment where I really began to take notice of what was happening.  The only thing that came to mind was “SOCIALLY RETARDED” adults in charge, with inflated egos running rampant.

What happened to the standard high moral and integrity that once prevailed in this country?

It is time to clean house, to help restore the city of Detroit become a healthy state again.

HELP THOSE IN NEED!
